Girls of DPS are not behind the boys in any field. In our school optimum emphasis is laid on the all round development of the child. Decked with sound mind and sturdy physique our school's girls are prepared to face the tests of life' Judo, Karate, and Yoga's coaching is imparted to them to augment self-confidence and sense of fearlessness. This year the girls brought laurels to the school by proving their mettle in every activity. Their performance in the game of basketball deserves to be showered with praise. Our school girls played many matches throughout the year in and around the school premises, and even participated in state level tournaments.
In the beginning of the year the girl team of St. Luke's School visited our school for a basketball match which the home team won with great ease. In the inter-house basketball matches the players displayed the rare feats of sportsmanship. In junior girls matches Mercury House was declared the winner and Mars House again came out with flying colours and grabbed 1st position in Junior Boys category. In senior Boys category Earth House took the lead and became winner.
Twice in this year Degree College Solan's girls team visited our school for playing matches but their dream to defeat our team could not be transported into reality. In the end of the year our girl team participated in state Basketball tournaments held at Mandi and Una and grabbed the runner-up position. We are committed to take the game to its culmination.
