THE CAMPUS
DURGA PUBLIC SCHOOL sprawling on 41 Bighas, is situated at Barog By Pass, three Kilometers away from the city din of
Solan (HP), amidst the vicinity of Pine trees. The school is well connected by the road, rail and hygienic surrounding. Every
aspect of the campus reflects our commitment to provide the best. The buildings are provided with spacious rooms to maintain
a cool temperature for all seasons. It has well furnished Hostel rooms for students and lush green cricket field which attracts
one to play the gentleman's game with its highest ecstasy. The well maintained gardens and greenery help the students to live
in harmony with nature and stay inspired by the school and so called ‘school life’.

THE CLIMATE
AIR, WATER AND LAND: As mentioned earlier the school is sprawled over the suiting environment of the Shiwalik Ranges of
India. Here the environment is unique for learning. The school is providing hot water through out the day and year for the
learners. The solar and electric geysers are serving the students twenty four hours a day. The fresh air of pollution free
environment is the rare hygienic breath for the life which students only and only can inhale in the DPS surroundings. The soil is
clay and possesses the more capacity to capture the moisture much longer than other soils. This is the Natural gift which
maintains the dust free environment of the school.

The condition of a nation can be by looking at the status of its children. The children are nourished better when the facilities are
proper. In the spacious campus of our school, students are provided the best possible study environment. The class rooms are designed on
the basis of modern education theme where scientific and psychological scheming is given priority. The school has separate labs for
Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Maths beside library, music & computer rooms. The school has lush green cricket field where turf wicket is
prepared to organise Cricket National matches. The brink of the ground has three net practice wickets where cricketers practice under the
specialised coaches. The school is giving final touch to the hostel block and immediately after its completion the construction of swimming
pool will be started. The Seasonal games of Hockey and Soccer are being organised time after time. Soccer is in full swing as more and
more players are participating in national championships. In Karate we managed to bag a few gold medals in the Nationals. We also have a
strong Table Tennis infrastructure and each year 4-6 students represent the state in the National Championships. This year our students
defeated J&K and Meghayala players in the Sub-Junior Nationals at Vijaywada, A.P. The children are practicing hard in Lawn Tennis
Courts under the guidance of professional coach. |
