Only a few school where Lawn Tennis is played can be termed as privileged. We can proudly proclaim that we are among those few schools. This year our tennis players played in All Indian Tennis Federation (AITF) matches. Our 5 players played under 14 category and Vivek Negi played under 16. Vivek played an excellent game and secured a position in the quarter final. All the players exhibited their best skills in the court. The spectators were thrilled by watching the excellent game of our players. In the Inter-House Tennis tournament Abhay Dogra was declared winner in Sub-Juniors (Singles), from Mercury House. Prateek won the Juniors (Singles). Venus house became winner in doubles and mix doubles.
Senior Singles was won by Sahil Yadav from the Mercury House. Earth house was winner in doubles and Mars House won the mix-doubles trophy. Our players also played in Shoolini fare matches and entertained the spectators with their excellent game. Our tennis players played with BCS Shimla and won all the matches. On 26 Nov., 2009 our players played in CBSE Tournaments (cluster) and secured a place in third round. Our school has two Lawn Tennis courts and professional coaches are imparting coaching to our players. This year it was our debut participation in (AITF) and we are hopeful to win gold medals in it in the coming years.
