To keep the body hale and hearty, the school has always
preferred healthy environment. The students in the school
are provided every care about their good health.
The
school has a uniform way to check up the height and
weight of the children four times in a year. Wednesday is
Hospital Day and the students visit the hospital, for checkup.
We know that the health of our students is of paramount importance and medical care is given a high priority in the school. The school has a well-equipped medical centre staffed by two trained nurses. In addition, a doctor visits the school twice a week.
In cases of emergency or concern students can be taken to the local doctor or hospital in school transport. Equally, students who need to visit specialists or dentists, opticians and others will have their visits arranged and co-ordinated through the school.
In our approach to health we aim to achieve the very highest of standards. Clear medical records are kept for each student. Teachers ensure that students requiring medical attention receive it and all medications given are recorded and checked. We also ensure that parents are kept fully informed regarding a student’s health not only in the case of major concerns but also in case of minor ailments.

The clinical examination of young children is an art which is learnt by experience. Adequate examination can be achieved by patience and gentle approach. The child must be greeted in a friendly manner. It gives me immense pleasure by taking care of the health of children at Durga Public School, Solan. I feel satisfied while being with the children who are at home away from home. Any good advice on health, sanitation, environment and prevention of diseases at this age will have effective and permanent effect on them. This may help to become India as healthy, prosperous and strong.
