Special achievements of the house :
With the grace of God our house is blessed with 'Eighty Four' students who proved their mental & physical capabilities in various co-curricular activities as well as in academics. We started our year by securing 2nd position in Rangoli Competition. We also stood second in Inter-house salad making competition. Anshul Mishra of our house was adjudged as the best speaker of the extempore. We also achieved high oriented results in the academic part. Bharat Bhushan (86%) and Aman Suyal (89%) of our house got distinctions in the C.B.S.E. Board class X exams. Aanchal Sharma of our house qualified the National Talent Search Examination and was awarded scholarship. In the sports, we stood first in junior girls basketball, second in senior girls basket ball. We also stood 2nd in Senior Cricket Matches. We secured 2nd position in Inter House Karate Championship.
Atin Chaturvedi was adjudged as the best fighter. Our house is blessed with many sportsmen viz. Gaurav Thakur, Aditya Arya, Shardul Chand and Devrath, they played cricket at CBSE cluster Rahul Kharbanda, Tarun Singh, Anshul Mishra & Harish Rana Played the 12th Bhupinder Singh tournament of football held in Lawrance School, Sanawar. Anitender, Nishant Sautha and Madhav Singh Played T.T. at C.B.S.E. and National levels. Aastha, Sonali and Vijaya of our house played Basketball at C.B.S.E. level. Pamul Thakur, Lakshay Thakur, Rohan Tanwar, Bharat, Swati Tanwar and many other students of our house stood at distinguished position in the Inter house marathon held on the Children's Day. In Lawn Tennis, Sahil Yadav, Dhanjai, Raghav Singh of our house proved to be a tough fight for the opposition players.
Digvijay and Aditya Chaudhary of our house played cricket at a distinguished position. Samiksha of our house topped the maths Olympiads of her category. It is said that success never comes without dedication. Similarly many of Mercarains have proved their mettle in various aspects of school life. Our house has been an ideal for other houses. We are highly hopeful to crown our self with the cock house trophy in future. We are committed to strive and make good amongst us better and better amongst us the best.
MERCURY HOUSE SHOW
The show held on the 5th of June, 2009, was an outstanding extravaganza.The show started with Shiv Vandana which was a delight to the eyes and ears. The show continued with various items like animal dance, western and classical dance, English dance, English Play, Hindi Play, Group song and Bhangra. There was great talent to display. Western cum classical dance was the highlight of the show. The Hindi Play and English Play kept the audience glued to their seats. The gap filler was hilarious & brought a few light moments. The Bhangra was the last performance of the show. The show brought to the fore the amazing talent of all the children and also proved that with the joint efforts of the staff and students nothing is impossible. |
