It gives us enormous pleasure to write down a few lines about the sports club of our school. It is a fact that sports is an integral part of our studies
and without specific games the system of education will stop functioning. Keeping the value of sports in mind, our school has gathered many
thumping victories from the various disciplines. Presently the club is run by an energetic team of our staff members who have been known for their
quality services in the concerned fields. The evidences searched from the profile of school's sports history, give a sigh of joy and one definitely
may feel satisfied to see the rich records of the school's sports history. We are happy but not contented to see our department flourishing day by
day. We are also proud to have tutors who are efficient in turning the success wheel towards the desired way.

NARRATION BY SPORTS CAPTAIN…..
Sports are of great importance in the development of the body as well as the formation of character. It is well said that in sound mind dwells a
sound body. The pros and cons of sports teach us to endure pain, difficulty, competence, sportsmanship, fellow feelings etc. on the play fields and
enable one to overcome all such difficulties of life. Guidance of the coach, direction of captain, pressure of winning matches matures oneself
completely when he or she has to perform on the field or off the field.
In our esteemed school, Inter House sports events play a big role in developing these skills perfectly in the concerned body. In our Inter house
tournament games of Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Cricket, Basket Ball, Foot Ball etc. are organised with full dedication. Here the house zeal makes
one as the skilled sportsperson.
The school's sports club has gathered this year Laurels after Laurels either it be the field of Basket Ball or Tables Tennis. The school has unfurled
its flag highly in the various Table Tennis tournaments. The first Mega event of Inter school TT championship in which our school won was
Sahodya Shimla Chapter held in Pinegrove School, Sabathu. Here we were declared winners in all categories.
In the CBSE North zone cluster matches held in Chandigarh, once again our school outshined & won a Bronze. More over at Distt. Level in the
Inter School Championship, we were declared overall winners. From the court of Basket Ball, our school's under 16 girls' team emerged as the
runners up. From the field of Soccer, School Sr. and Jr. teams entered in the semi and quarter finals of seven aside Distt. Tournament at Thodo Ground, Solan.
State Runner up :
Payal, Nayanika, Vijaya, Akshi, Haneet, Jasleen, Astha, Shiwani, Khuboo and Harsimran.
The school has generated six footballers, who participated in the National level soccer tournament this year, three cricketers who played state and
five TT players who have participated three times in the National Championships.
The exposure of competing in the Distt., State and National level ensures that we will be shining on the international screen.

The talent, the guidance, the aim and the professional coaching all have a dream, a dream to excel in the fields of National and Inter national tournaments. In
these five years, I am proud to claim my school as an emerging leader of games. I am proud being a Durganian and the sports perfect designation
is the highest crown for me.
