'Super achievers don't waste time in unproductive thoughts; esoteric thought, or catastrophic. Thought they think constructively and they know that their level of thinking determines their success'
God created this world, nature and human. To avoid the negative of the third world we created our own universe i.e. Durga Public School. This universe has four planets and we belong to the planet of Venus. We are the Venetians and the drops of 88 students makes it an ocean.
Special Achievements of the house :
This year in sports we won Jr. Cricket inter house. We stood 2nd both in Sr. boys & Sr. girls basket ball inter house event. In co-curricular activities : We stood 3rd in Rangoli Competition, Sub Jr. 2nd, Jr, 1st in Sr. 3rd in science quiz competition. In debate competition we stood 1st in Sr. English. In Jr. English we got 2nd position and our house girl Miss Shreya Sharma was noticed as the best speaker in debate competition. In Salad Competition 3rd, Fruit Competition 2nd. Story telling competition 2nd and Science quiz house event Jr. 1st and sub Jr. 2nd, we stood 1st in calligraphy competition. We got 3rd position in Jr. Hindi Declamation. Miss Divya Yadav got 1st position in Sr. Hindi Declamation and she is adjudged the best speaker by our Director. In Academics in this year's CBSE result, Sahil Tomar and Akshi Chauhan got distinctions.
On the Founder's day, our house was adjudged as the best house in Athletics and has been awarded with the biggest trophy of sports.
Master Kartik Sauhta won 3 Gold & 2 Silver medals and he was declared as the best athlete amongst the boys.
Most of the Prefect body presently working is from the house of Venus. The House has inculcated the moral values in the students to put best effort with positive attitude.
As we have already said that it will be our honest endeavor to perform with zeal & confidence. I hope we have performed successfully in the past and trying to perform better in the present and we are committed to perform the excellent in future.
The achievement of the house is due to the hard and efficient work of the Venetians and guidelines of the tutors and credit for the same goes to them.
VENUS HOUSE FUNCTION
The Venus House show was celebrated with all enthusiasm on 5th June, 2009. The programme which pivoted on "Peace" began with Shaloka, followed by Lightening of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Film Director Mr. Kochher. Bouquets were then presented to all the dignitaries. Next, the House Captain read out the achievements of the House in 2008-09. The programme went on for about two hours with the students entertaining the audience with their cultural talents. The Chief Guest enlightened the audience with his pearls of wisdom. The Director, in his speech, congratulated the inmates of Venus House for putting up a wonderful show. Finally, the Manager Mr. Tikam Singh proposed the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end with the singing of our school song. |
